Dr. Schrader has served as York College's interim president since January. She has extensive background in higher education, including recent service as the first Black president of Kingsborough Community College in Brooklyn.

A longtime member of the CUNY family, Dr. Schrader has served as president of Kingsborough Community College in Brooklyn New York, since September 2018. She has held leadership roles in three CUNY schools and worked has more than 20 years in the system.
Since 2020, Dr. Eanes has served as president of York College of the City University of New York. She served as vice president for student affairs at California State University, Fullerton from 2012 to 2019. Earlier, Dr. Eanes was vice president of student affairs at John Jay College of Criminal Justice of the City University of New York.
Dr. Gunter-Smith became the fourth president of York College in 2013 after serving as provost and academic vice president at Drew University in Madison, New Jersey. Previously, she was the Porter Professor of Physiology at Spelman College in Atlanta.
The five women in new administrative posts are Anna Rua at York College of the City University of New York, Kenya Faulkner at Emory University in Atlanta, Carren Moham at Hesston College in Hesston, Kansas, Kimberly Holmes-Iverson at Howard University in Washington, D.C., and Lucretia Taylor at Wichita State University in Kansas.
Berenecea Johnson Eanes was appointed president of York College in Jamaica, New York. She has served as interim president since September 2019. And Christine Mangino was named president of Queensborough Community College in Bayside, New York. She has been serving as provost at Hostos Community College in The Bronx.
Dr. Eanes has been serving as vice president for the Division of Student Affairs at California State University, Fullerton. She has been on the staff at CalState, Fullerton for the past seven years.
Leonard joined the staff at the college in 2007 as coordinator of grants and the annual fund. She moved up the ranks to senior vice president of college advancement. In this role she raised $5 million to fund the college's new Health Science Technology Center. Currently, she serves as executive vice president at the college.
