Vance served as director of student disability services at Swarthmore College in Pennsylvania for the past six years. In this role, she focused her efforts on DEI initiatives, student accessibility, and disability rights.
Dr. Baren currently serves as provost and vice president of academic affairs at the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia. Earlier, she taught at the University of California, Los Angeles, Yale University, and the University of Pennsylvania. She will become the 14th president of Lake Forest College in July.
Dr. Baren comes to the University of the Sciences from the University of Pennsylvania where she has been serving as a professor of emergency medicine, pediatrics, and medical ethics at the Perelman School of Medicine. She was chair of the Department of Emergency Medicine at Penn from 2011 to 2017, where she was the first woman to hold the position.
Since September 2017, Dr. Anderson has been special advisor to the president of Texas A&M University-Kingsville. She served as provost and vice president for academic affairs there from 2015 to 2017.
For the past three years, Aminta Hawkins Breaux has served as vice president for advancement at Millersville University, a campus of the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education. She was vice president for student affairs at Millersville University from 2008 to 2014.
Since 2013, Dr. Heidi M. Anderson has been provost and vice president for academic affairs at the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia. Previously, she served as a faculty member and an administrator at the University of Kentucky for 11 years.
Dr. Giles-Gee became the 22nd president of the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia in July 2012. She was the first woman president in the nearly 200-year history of the university.
Currently Dr. Heidi Anderson is vice president for institutional effectiveness at the University of Kentucky. She has been a faculty member and an administrator at the University of Kentucky for the past 11 years.
