Dr. Luger, a distinguished professor of biochemistry at the University of Colorado Boulder has received the 2026 Vilcik Prize in Biomedical Science, an annual award recognizing immigrants who are leading advancements in biomedical research in the United States.

The new deans are Olympia Ross Duhart at Nova Southeastern University in Florida, Shelia Babendir at the University of Phoenix, Anika Spratley Burtin at the University of the District of Columbia, Ayşe Şahin at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Florida, Hope Bibens at Drake University in Iowa, and Kami Silk at the University of Delaware.

Dr. Egeblad, a distinguished professor at Johns Hopkins University, studies tumor microenvironments, aiming to deepen the understanding of cancer initiation, progression, and metastasis.
