The new deans are Barbara Ritter at the University of Toledo in Ohio, Cora Thompson at Savannah State University in Georgia, Amelia Manning at Tulane University in New Orleans, Amy Bronson at Pepperdine University in California, Kathy Phillips at Duke University in North Carolina, and Hillary Richardson at Mississippi University for Women.
The women appointmented to endowed faculty positions are Tara Cox at Savannah State University in Georgia, Jennifer Homans at New York University, and Esther Freeman at Harvard Medical School.
Since last fall, Dr. Page has been serving as provost and vice president for academic affairs at Savannah State University in Georgia. Earlier, she was a professor of English and vice president in the Division of Academic Affairs at Dillard University in New Orleans. Previously, Dr. Page served as dean of arts and sciences at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff.
Kimberly Ballard-Washington has resigned as president of Savannah State University in Georgia for "personal reasons." The University System of Georgia named Cynthia Robinson Alexander as interim president of Savannah State University. She has been serving as associate vice chancellor for finance at the University System of Georgia. She joined the university system in 2009.
Since 2018, Dr. LeGrande has served as vice provost for strategic enrollment management at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond. Earlier, she was vice president for strategic enrollment management at the University of Houston-Downtown. Prior to her duties in Houston, Dr. LeGrande worked at North Carolina A&T State University and Winston-Salem State University.
Yolanda Page is the new provost and vice president of academic affairs at Savannah State University in Georgia. Mablene Krueger was appointed interim provost and senior vice president for academic affairs at Dillard University in New Orleans and Antoinette A. Coleman is the new provost and senior vice president for academic affairs at Medgar Evers College in Brooklyn, New York.
