Melissa Mazan and Amanda Durik are taking on interim dean appointments at the Tufts University Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine and the Northern Illinois University College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, respectively. Jenn Snow is dean of the Phyllis J. Washington College of Education at the University of Montana.

Shelley Barkley Named the First Woman President of Spoon River College in Illinois

Dr. Barkley is slated to become the first woman president of Spoon River College on August 31. She comes to her new role from John Wood Community College in Quincy, Illinois, where she serves as vice president of academic and student affairs.

Kathryn Rogalski Named President of Grand Rapids Community College in Michigan

Dr. Rogalski comes to her new role from Northeast Wisconsin Technical College, where she has been serving as vice president of academic affairs and workforce development.

Joyce Ester Appointed the Seventh President of Governors State University in Illinois

Crawford was named the Nancy Uridil and Frank Bosseu Distinguished Professor in Civil Engineering at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana, and Julie M. Riley was named to the Hal Reed Black, M.D., Chair in Urology at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences.

Dyonne Bergeron has been named chief diversity officer at the University of California, Irvine. Carol A. Sumner was appointed chief diversity officer at Northern Illinois University and Dakesa Piña was named the inaugural vice president in charge of diversity, equity, and inclusion at Illinois Wesleyan University in Bloomington.
