Currently, Dr. Parish is dean of the College of Health Professions and Sentara Professor of Health Administration at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond. Prior to joining the faculty at Virginia Commonwealth University, she served as dean of BouveÌ College of Health Sciences at Northeastern University in Boston.
Here is this week’s listing of women faculty members from colleges and universities throughout the United States who have been appointed to new positions, have been assigned new duties, or have been promoted.
The College of New Rochelle was founded by the Ursuline Sisters in 1904 as the College of St. Angela. It was the first Catholic college for women in New York State. Men were first admitted to graduate programs in 1969. In December 2015, the College of New Rochelle announced that it would transition to full co-education.
Since 2007, Dr. Passaro has served as provost and vice president for academic affairs at Carroll University in Waukesha, Wisconsin. Earlier in her career, she served for seven years in a number of positions at Mercy College in Dobbs Ferry, New York.
From 1998 to 2011, Carol Moore served as president of Lyndon State College in Lyndonville, Vermont. Earlier, she was provost and vice president of academic affairs at Mercy College in Dobbs Ferry, New York.
The new deans are Charlotte Johnson at Scripps College, Karol Dean at Mercy College, Robin Rinehart at Lafayette College, Karen Pugliesi at Northern Arizona University, Elizabeth Davis at the University of San Francisco, and Allyson Green at New York University.
Since 2012, Dr. Stewart has been serving as provost and vice president of academic affairs. Previously, she was dean and professor in the School of Art and Design at Pratt Institute and is the former dean of the School of Communication and Theater at Temple University.
