Macalester College, the highly rated liberal arts educational institution in St. Paul, Minnesota, has awarded tenure to eight faculty members. Seven of these tenure awards went to women.
In addition to teaching oboe performance and music theory at the University of Arkansas, Dr. Delaplain frequently performs as a soloist, chamber musician, and orchestral musician. She is the founding organizer of the SHE Festival of Music, an annual international festival to promote music written by women.
The five women faculty members appointed to new roles are Rebecca Robichaux-Davis at Mississippi State University, Meagan Patterson at the University of Kansas, Mina Kinukawa at Macalester College in St. Paul, Minnesota, Elaine Sia at the University of Rochester in New York, and Angela Hancock at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana.

McLary at Hollins University in Roanoke, Virginia, and Lisa Anderson-Levy at Macalester College in St. Paul, Minnesota.
The three women hired to tenure-track posts at the highly-rated liberal arts college are Kirisitina Sailiata in American studies, Maria Fedorova in Russian studies, and Hannah Kim in philosophy.
