Shivanthi Anandan is the new provost and vice president of academic affairs at La Salle University in Philadelphia and Nicola Blake was appointed interim provost and vice president for academic affairs at Stella and Charles Guttman Community College in New York City.
The new diversity officers are Tina Simpson at the School of Medicine at Tulane University in New Orleans, Alisa Macksey at La Salle University in Philadelphia, J. Camille Hall at the University of Missouri Kansas City, and Greneda Johnson at the University of Arkansas School of Law.

Since 2015, Dr. Hanycz has been serving as the first woman president of La Salle University in Philadephia. From 2008 to 2015, she was head of Brescia University College, a women’s college in London, Ontario, that is affiliated with the Catholic Church.
Dr. Halas is the Stanley C. Moore Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering and professor of chemistry, bioengineering, physics and astronomy, and materials science and nanoengineering at Rice University.
Appointed to dean posts are Pamela E. Barnett at La Salle University in Philadelphia, Deanna Dixon at Smith College in Northampton, Massachusetts, Denise Spangler at the University of Georgia, and Kimberly Yuracko at Northwestern University in Illinois.
Dr. Paula M. Krebs will resign her positions as dean of the College of Humanities and Social Sciences at Bridgewater State University in Massachusetts in order to take on her new duties at the Modern Language Association on August 1. The association has more than 24,000 members in 100 countries around the world.
Colleen M. Hanycz has been serving as head of Brescia University College, a women’s college in London, Ontario, that is affiliated with the Catholic Church. She had held this post since 2008.
