Dr. Cunningham joins the University of Minnesota after more than two decades of service to the University of Michigan, where she currently serves vice president for research and innovation and professor in the Schools of Public Health and Medicine.
Here is this week’s roundup of women who have been appointed to new administrative positions at colleges and universities throughout the United States.
Since January 2017, Christine Siegel has served as interim provost and senior vice president for academic affairs. She joined the faculty at Fairfield University in 2005 as an assistant professor in the Graduate School of Education and Allied Professions.
Dr. Babington will become interim president on January 1 and is expected to serve until the end of the academic year. Since 2014, she has served as provost and senior vice president for academic affairs at the university. She previously served on the faculty at Northeastern University in Boston.
The appointees are Shirley M. Collado, Shannon McGee, Christine Byrd-Jacobs, Lynn Babington, Mary Berry, Katherine Johnson Suski, Estela Gavosto, Beverly L. Downing, Rachel Reuben, A. Madison Cario, Marthe Druska Golden, Kimberly Washor, and Susan Goodin.
The book award winners are Beth Plummer of Western Kentucky University, Teresa Bergman of the University of the Pacific in Stockton, California, and Jocelyn Boryczka and Elizabeth Petrino of Fairfield University in Connecticut.
