Professor Abrams, who will become dean of Duke Law School on July 1, is the vice provost for faculty affairs and professor of law at the University of Virginia. She joined the faculty there in 2005. From 2002, to 2005, Professor Abrams taught at the New York University School of Law.

Former Agnes Scott College President Elizabeth Kiss to Direct the Rhodes Trust
Elizabeth Kiss, the former president of Agnes Scott College, was named Warden of Rhodes House at the University of Oxford in England. In this role, she will be the director of the Rhodes Trust which administers the Rhodes Scholarship program. Dr. Kiss will be the first woman to serve in this post.
The Next Provost at the University of the Ozarks in Clarksville, Arkansas
Dr. Alyson A. Gill has been serving as associate provost for instructional innovation at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. She also was an associate professor of art history at the university. Earlier, she served for 15 years on the faculty at Arkansas State University.

In this role she raised $5 million to fund the college’s new Health Science Technology Center. Currently, she serves as executive vice president at the college.
