Deborah Archer is a tenured professor of clinical law and director of the Civil Rights Clinic at New York University School of Law, and co-faculty director of the Center on Race, Inequality, and the Law at NYU Law. She will be the first African American woman to lead the ACLU in its 101-year history.
Vanderbilt University’s Vanessa Beasley to Lead the Rhetoric Society of America

Currently, Dr. Wente serves as provost and vice chancellor of academic affairs at Vanderbilt University in Nashville. She has been on the Vanderbilt faculty since 2002. Dr. Wente began her teaching career at Washington University’s School of Medicine.
Colleen Hanycz Will Be the First Woman President of Xavier University in Cincinnati
Since 2015, Dr. Hanycz has been serving as the first woman president of La Salle University in Philadephia. From 2008 to 2015, she was head of Brescia University College, a women’s college in London, Ontario, that is affiliated with the Catholic Church.

Since 2014, Dixon has served in administrative roles for the Los Rios College District, most recently as associate vice chancellor of educational services and student success. Michelle Majewski Is the Seventeenth President of Marian University in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin
Dr. Majewski has been serving as acting president since April 2000. She has been associated with the university for more than three decades as a full-time faculty member, chair, dean, and professor emerita. Dr. Majewski will serve as president through June 30, 2023.

In her most recent role, Pumariega has been serving as executive vice president and provost at Tallahassee Community College in Florida. Pumariega was appointed as the first woman and first Hispanic chancellor of the Florida College System in 2015.

Dr. Gable has been serving for the past five years as vice president of student services at Grossmont College. Stefani Hicswa Will Be the First Woman Chancellor of Montana State University Billings
Dr. Hicswa currently serves as president of Northwest College in Powell, Wyoming, a position she has held since 2013. Prior to Northwest College, Hicswa served for seven years as president of Miles Community College in Miles City, Montana. She will become the chancellor of Montana State University Billings on January 11.
California State University, Northridge Names Erika Beck as Its Next President
In 2016, Dr. Beck was named the second president of California State University, Channel Islands in Camarillo. Previously, she was provost and executive vice president of Nevada State College in Henderson. Dr. Beck will become president of California State University Northridge on January 11.
Erica Muhl Has Been Chosen as the First Woman President of the Berklee College of Music in Boston
Dr. Muhl comes to Berklee College after a distinguished 30-year career at the University of Southern California, where she was dean and founding executive director of the Jimmy Iovine and Andre Young Academy for Arts, Technology and the Business of Innovation and the former associate dean of the Thornton School of Music.

Dr. Rios-Ellis has been serving as the founding dean of the College of Health Sciences and Human Services at California State University, Monterey Bay. From 2005-2015, she served as founding director of the California State University, Long Beach Center for Latino Community Health, Evaluation and Leadership Training.
Michele Shirley Is the New Leader of North Georgia Technical College in Clarkesville
Dr. Shirley has served as vice president of administrative services at North Georgia Technical College since February and previously was the director of administrative services for the college. She has been on the staff at the college for the past 14 years.
