Hong Wang Wins the Prestigious International Fields Medal in Mathematics

Presented every four years by the International Mathematical Union, the Fields Medal is considered the highest honor in the field of mathematics. Dr. Wang has been recognized for her recent resolution of the Kakeya conjecture, a central problem in harmonic analysis and geometry that had been unsolved for more than a century.

Tulia Falleti Receives Book Award from the American Political Science Association

Dr. Falleti is an endowed professor in political science at the University of Pennsylvania. Her 2010 book Decentralization and Subnational Politics in Latin America was recently recognized by the American Political Science Association as a lasting achievement in federalism and intergovernmental relations scholarship.
