The New Dean of Students at Oberlin College in Ohio

The New Dean of Students at Oberlin CollegeMeredith Raimondo was named vice president and dean of students at Oberlin College in Ohio. She has served in the post on an interim basis since July.

Oberlin College President Marvin Krislov notes that “Meredith has done a superb job as interim dean. Because of her years as a professor, she has a deep connection to our faculty and to our students. There is a widespread feeling among all our stakeholders that Meredith is the best possible person for this job, and we’re all thrilled she has agreed to do it.”

Dr. Raimondo joined the faculty in the department of comparative American studies in 2003. In 2014, she was named special assistant to the president for diversity, equity, and inclusion as well as Title IX coordinator.

A graduate of Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island, Dr. Raimondo holds master’s and doctoral degrees from Emory University in Atlanta.
