June Youatt Named Acting Provost at Michigan State University

youatt_2June Youatt was named acting provost at Michigan State University in East Lansing. Kim A. Wilcox will step down as provost on July 1 but will spend the next six months working with the Partnership to Cut Hunger and Poverty in Africa, a nonprofit organization with close ties to the university. Dr. Youatt has been serving as senior associate provost.

Dr. Youatt also serves as a professor in the department of human development and family studies at Michigan State. She served for nearly a decade at the Michigan Department of Education and for four years as a parenting education specialist with Michigan State University Extension. She holds a doctorate from Michigan State.
