Stacy Bartlett has been appointed as the eighth president of Point University in West Point, Georgia. Upon assuming her presidency in July, she will become the first woman to lead the educational institution.
Point University enrolls about 2,800 undergraduate and 200 graduate students, according to the most recent federal data. Women represent 54 percent of the undergraduate student body.
With nearly two decades of higher education experience, Dr. Bartlett has a background in enrollment, fundraising, departmental restructuring, strategic planning, recruitment and retention, and project management. Currently, she serves as Point University’s chief of staff. She has held several roles with the university throughout her long tenure, including vice president of enrollment management, vice president of advancement, and chief advancement and enrollment officer.
“I am humbled to be called to serve Point as president, and I am thankful to the search committee and the board for the opportunity,” said Dr. Bartlett. “I will be following in the footsteps of great leaders who have guided Point to where it is today.”
Dr. Bartlett received her bachelor’s degree from Point University. She holds an MBA and a doctorate in higher education leadership from Mercer University in Georgia.
