Laura Dolbow has been appointed as a professor at the University of Colorado Law School. She currently serves as a Sharswood Fellow at the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School. She previously practiced law in Washington, D.C., and clerked for the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit.
Dolbow holds a bachelor’s degree and juris doctorate from Vanderbilt University in Nashville.
Dr. Ferando graduated cum laude from Yale University where she majored in English. She holds a master’s degree in critical and curatorial studies in modern art and a Ph.D. in art history and archaeology from Columbia University.
Laura Bowling has been appointed head of the department of agronomy at Purdue University in Indiana. She has been a faculty member with the university since 2004, currently serving as a professor of agronomy and director of the natural resources and environmental science program.
Dr. Bowling received her bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and water resources from Princeton University. She earned her master’s degree and Ph.D. from the department of civil and environmental engineering at the University of Washington.
Yanwen Zhang has been named the Canada Excellence Research Chair in Impact of Radiation in Energy and Advanced Technologies at Queen’s University in Ontario. She currently serves as a Distinguished Research & Developmental Staff at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory and associate professor in the department of materials science and engineering at the University of Tennessee.
Dr. Zhang earned her bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in solid state physics, as well as a Ph.D. in science at Beijing Normal University in China. She holds a second Ph.D. in nuclear physics from Lund University in Sweden.
Zeynep Çelik has been appointed editor in chief of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Sensors Journal. She is a Distinguished University Professor in the electrical engineering department at the University of Texas where she has served as a full professor for over two decades.
Dr. Çelik received her bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and physics from Bogaziçi University in Istanbul, Türkiye. She holds a master’s degree and Ph.D. in electrical engineering from the University of Rochester in New York.
Dana Cusano has joined the faculty at Syracuse University in New York as a research assistant professor of biology. She most recently served as a postdoctoral fellow at the National Marine Sanctuary Foundation and project scientist at JASCO Applied Science.
Dr. Cusano holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology and animal behavior from Canisius University in Buffalo, New York, a master’s degree in marine mammal science from the University of St. Andrews in Scotland, and a Ph.D. in marine mammal bioacoustics from the University of Queensland in Australia.
Jennifer Hunt, who has been serving as interim dean of the University of Florida College of Medicine, has been appointed dean of the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire. She will be the first woman to lead the Ivy League medical school in its 229-year history
Dr. Gregory was appointed interim president of Jackson State University in May 2025. Prior to that appointment, she was the university's provost and vice president of academic affairs.
