Melanie Robbins Selected to Lead White Mountains Community College in New Hampshire

The board of trustees of the Community College System of New Hampshire unanimously voted to appoint Melanie Robbins as interim president of White Mountains Community College in Berlin.

White Mountains Community College enrolls just over 500 students, according to the most recent data from the U.S. Department of Education. Women make up 64 percent of the student body.

Robbins has been affiliated with WMCC since 1996, having begun as a part-time teacher assistant for what was then the New Hampshire Technical College-Berlin. Her work shifted to the college’s Littleton Academic Center where he eventually became director.

“I am honored to be able to serve WMCC during this transition,” Robbens said. “WMCC will continue to be the driver for integration of education and workforce needs for the North Country. My goal is to ensure a seamless continuation of the projects and initiatives that are already in progress, from our Guided Pathways work to the completion of the Advanced Technology Building. Together with the dedicated and talented faculty and staff, we will fulfill our mission.”

Robbins is a graduate of the University of Vermont, where she majored in geography.
