Four Women Faculty Promoted at Middlebury College

Middlebury College, the highly ranked liberal arts college in Vermont, has announced that eight faculty members were promoted from assistant to associate professor. The faculty members were all granted tenure. Four of the eight new associate professors are women.

Molly S. Costanza-Robinson is an associate professor of chemistry and environmental studies. She joined the faculty in 2005. Dr. Costanza-Robinson is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin. She earned a Ph.D. in soil, water, and environmental science from the University of Arizona.  She is the co-author of the book, Write Like a Chemist: A Guide and Resource (Oxford University Press, 2008).

Kim Cronise was promoted to associate professor of psychology at Middlebury. She joined the faculty as a visiting professor in 2004 and received a tenure-track appointment in 2006. Dr. Cronise holds bachelor’s, master’s, and Ph.D. degrees in psychology, all from the University of South Carolina.

Juana Gamero de Coca is an associate professor in the Spanish and Portuguese department at Middlebury. She joined the Middlebury faculty in 2004 and is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh. She earned a master’s degree from New Mexico State University and a Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin.

Emily Proctor was promoted to associate professor of mathematics. She joined the college’s faculty in 2005. Dr. Proctor is a native of Vermont and graduated from Bowdoin College in Maine. She earned master’s and Ph.D. degrees from Dartmouth College.
