Three Women Selected to Lead the Business Schools at State Universities

Faiza Khoja is the new dean of the College of Business at Central Washington University in Ellensburg. She is the former dean of the College of Business Administration at Texas A&M University-Central Texas. Her research is focused on social networks, strategic supply chain management, developmental economics, and sustainability. Earlier, she taught for 16 years at the University of Houston Downtown.

Dr. Khoja holds a Ph.D. in strategic management from the University of Houston.

Sandy J. Wayne has been named dean of the University of Illinois Chicago College of Business Administration, effective August 16. She was associate dean for faculty affairs in the College of Business Administration from 2014 to 2022 before being named interim dean. Dr. Wayne first joined the university as an assistant professor of management in 1987.

Professor Wayne earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration and an MBA from Illinois State University. She holds a Ph.D. in human resource management and organizational behavior from the Mays School of Business at Texas A&M University.

Tao-Hsien “Dolly” King was appointed interim dean of the Belk College of Business at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. She is the Rush S. Dickson Professor of Finance. Since joining the Belk College faculty in 2006, Dr. King has served as associate dean for research and graduate programs and as chair of the department of finance. Earlier in her career, Dr. King held faculty positions with National Tsing-Hua University in Taiwan, the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, and Southern Methodist University in Dallas.

Dr. King holds a bachelor’s degree in industrial management from National Cheng-Kung University in Taiwan. She earned an MBA and a Ph.D. in finance at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
