Susan E. Colon, associate professor of literature, associate dean of the Honors College, and assistant director of the University Scholars Program at Baylor University in Waco,”ˆTexas, has died from cancer at the age of 39.
A graduate of Baylor University, she earned a master’s degree and a Ph.D. in English at Florida State University. A scholar of British Victorian literature, she joined the Baylor faculty in 2002. Dr. Colon was the author of The Professional Ideal in Victorian Literature: The Works of Disraeli, Trollope, Gaskell, and Eliot (Palgrave Macmillan).
