Tiffany Hunter is the New Provost at Clark State Community College in Springfield, Ohio

Tiffany Hunter has been appointed as provost of Clark State Community College in Springfield, Ohio. Dr. Hunter began her tenure with Clark State in January of 2019 as vice president of academic affairs.

In accepting her new duties, Dr. Hunter said that “my goals for this new role are to continue to expand our program offerings, finalize our program alignment review that will enable me to identify opportunities for growth for our current and future programs, further expand the work of our Center for Teaching and Learning, continue to lead the work of closing achievement gaps through our participation in Achieving the Dream and also continue my focus on diversity, equity and inclusion efforts as I continue to lead the faculty.”

Prior to coming to Clark State, Dr. Hunter served at Florida State College-Jacksonville as the dean of education and human services and as a faculty member for more than seven years. Earlier, she worked for Catawba College in Salisbury, North Carolina.

Clark State Community College enrolls nearly 5,700 students, according to the most recent data available from the U.S. Department of Education. Women make up 66 percent of the student body.

Dr. Hunter received a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She earned a master’s degree in birth-kindergarten education from Lenior-Rhyne University in Hickory, North Carolina, and a master’s degree in education and a Ph.D. in leadership for higher education from Capella University.
