Dena McCaffrey Is the First Woman President of Jefferson College in Hillsboro, Missouri

Dena McCaffrey is the new president of Jefferson College in Hillsboro, Missouri. She is the college’s eighth president and the first woman to hold the position.
Jefferson College is a two-year, public college that enrolls nearly 4,200 students, according to the latest data supplied to the U.S. Department of Education. Women make up 62 percent of the student body.
“Student success has always been and will continue to be my top priority,” said Dr. McCaffrey. “I appreciate the confidence the board of trustees has in my ability to effectively lead Jefferson College. I look forward to working with faculty, staff, and the community to ensure that we continue to live the college’s mission by delivering quality learning opportunities that empower individuals to achieve their goals.”
Dr. McCaffrey has served as dean of career and technical education since 2013. Earlier, she was director of outreach and educational sites at the college. Before coming to Jefferson College, Dr. McCaffrey was associate director of MBA and graduate business programs at Saint Louis University.
Dr. McCaffrey is a graduate of Fontbonne University in St. Louis, where she majored in marketing and communication. She earned an MBA and a doctorate in higher education administration from Saint Louis University.
