Marie Mora was appointed provost and executive vice chancellor for academic affairs at the University of Missouri at St. Louis. She was named associate provost and professor of economics at the university in 2019. From 2015 to 2019, she was associate vice provost for faculty diversity at the University of Texas-Rio Grande Valley. Dr. Mora has also been a faculty member in the department of economics and finance at the University of Texas-Pan American and the department of economics and international business at New Mexico State University. She received bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of New Mexico and a Ph.D. from Texas A&M University.
Mary Clark was named provost and executive vice chancellor at the University of Denver. She will begin her new role on July 15. Dr. Clark will also hold a tenured professorship in the Sturm College of Law at the University of Denver. She has been serving as deputy provost and dean of faculty at American University in Washington, D.C. Earlier she served at American Univerity as dean of academic affairs and senior vice provost for four years before serving as interim provost from July 2018 to January 2019. Professor Clark is a magna cum laude graduate of Bryn Mawr College in Pennsylvania. She earned a juris doctorate at Harvard Law School.
Teresa Kaye Woodruff was named the next provost and executive vice president for academic affairs at Michigan State University. She will also serve as a Michigan State University Foundation Professor of obstetrics, gynecology, reproductive biology, and biomedical engineering. Dr. Woodruff is currently dean of the graduate school and associate provost for graduate education at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois. She holds 14 U.S. patents and is an elected fellow of the National Academy of Medicine, the National Academy of Inventors, the American Institute for Medical and Biomedical Engineers, the American Association for the Advancement of Science, and the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. Dr. Woodruff is a graduate of Olivet Nazarene University in Bourbonnais, Illinois, where she double majored in zoology and chemistry. She earned a doctorate in biochemistry, molecular biology, and cell biology from Northwestern University.
Dr. Cautin, provost of Sacred Heart University in Connecticut, brings over two decades of higher education experience to her new role as president of Regis College in Weston, Massachusetts. She is slated to begin her presidency on July 1.
