Helen T. Morgan a longtime administrator at the University of Delaware, died in late March at her home in Alexandria, Virginia. She was 91 years old.
A native of Philadelphia, Morgan earned a bachelor’s degree and a master of public administration degree at the University of Delaware. She began her career at the university in 1963 as a clerk/typist. She rose through the ranks to become manager of the benefits division. In this role, she was often the first person new employees met with and the last person they met with when they left the university.
Morgan worked at the university for more than 40 years. As a retiree, she served on the Executive Committee of the University of Delaware Association of Retired Faculty for 10 years and held the position of secretary.
