Aliqae Geraci is the new director of the Walter P. Reuther Library and Archives of Labor and Urban Affairs at Wayne State University in Detroit. She was the assistant director of the Martin P. Catherwood Library at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York.
Geraci holds a bachelor’s degree in economics and labor studies from the Empire State College of the State University of New York System. She earned a master’s degree in labor studies from the City University of New York and a master of library and information science degree from Long Island University.
Antoinette Candia-Bailey has been named the inaugural vice president of student affairs and chief diversity officer at Elm College in Chicopee, Massachusetts. She was the senior project coordinator to the deputy vice chancellor for diversity and inclusion at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Prior to that, she was associate dean of students and student life at the university.
Dr. Candia-Bailey is a graduate of Lincoln University in Jefferson City, Missouri, where she majored in sociology. She holds a master’s degree in vocational rehabilitation counseling from Michigan State University and a Ph.D. in leadership studies from North Carolina A&T State Unversity in Greensboro.
Ana Yankova is the inaugural chief investment officer at Mount Holyoke College in South Hadley, Massachusetts. She is responsible for the management and oversight of the college’s $800 million endowment. Yankova joins the college from the global investment firm Cambridge Associates.
Yankova graduated from Mount Holyoke College with a bachelor’s degree in economics and earned an MBA from the Sloan School of Management at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Amanda Kit Tollett has been named chief of staff to the president of Tarleton State University in Stephenville, Texas. She will also hold the title of vice president for university relations. She had been serving as chief of staff for state representative J.D. Sheffield.
Tollett holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from Tarleton State University. She earned a master’s degree from Texas State University in San Marcos.
Doneisha Posey was appointed vice president of diversity, equity and belonging at Ivy Tech Community College in Indianapolis. Posey most recently served at the college’s executive director of Employee Diversity, Equity and Belonging. Prior to Ivy Tech, Posey served as deputy director and general counsel of the Indiana Civil Rights Commission. She also serves as an adjunct professor at the McKinney School of Law of Indiana University.
Posey is a graduate of Marian University in Indianapolis. She earned a juris doctorate at Indiana University.
On May 1, Paula Sorrell will become the associate vice president of innovation and economic development at George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia. She has been serving as the director of the University of Michigan’s Economic Growth Institute.
Sorrell earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in marketing and marketing management from Central Michigan University.
