Three Women Scholars With New Roles at Agnes Scott College in Decatur, Georgia

Christine S. Cozzens has been named interim vice president for academic affairs and dean of Agnes Scott College. She is the Charles A. Dana Professor of English, director of the Center for Writing and Speaking, and has been an Agnes Scott faculty member since 1987.

Dr. Cozzens holds a bachelor’s degree and master’s degree from Stanford University and a Ph.D. from the University of California, Berkeley.

Carlee Bishop has been named the founding faculty director of Agnes Scott’s new applied technology graduate program. She previously served as executive director of the master’s of applied systems engineering program at the Georgia Institute of Technology.

Dr. Bishop holds a Ph.D. in systems engineering from Auburn University in Alabama.

Laquita Blockson has been named faculty director of the master of arts in social innovation program at Agnes Scott College. She recently served as a research fellow with Rutgers Business School’s Center for Urban Entrepreneurship and Economic Development in Newark, New Jersey.

Dr. Blockson holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and an MBA from Florida A&M University and a Ph.D. in management from the University of Pittsburgh.
