Ambika Ashraf has been named director of the Division of Pediatric Endocrinology in the department of pediatrics at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She has been a university faculty member since 2006.
Dr. Ashraf holds a bachelor of medicine degree and a medical doctorate both from the University of Calicut in Kerala, India.
Vivian Mo has been named chief medical officer for the University of Southern California Care Medical Group. She is currently a clinical associate professor of medicine at the university’s Keck School of Medicine. She has served on the faculty at the university since 2007.
Dr. Mo holds a medical doctorate from the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston and a master of health administration degree from the University of Southern California.
Adrienne Davis has been named founding director of the Center for the Study of Race, Ethnicity, & Equity at Washington University in St. Louis. She currently serves as the university’s vice provost and the William M. Van Cleve Professor of Law.
Professor Davis holds a bachelor’s degree and juris doctorate both from Yale University.
Kosali Simon has been named the inaugural associate vice provost for health sciences at Indiana University. She is a Herman B. Wells Endowed Professor at the Indiana University Bloomington School of Public and Environmental Affairs, an adjunct professor in the economics department and in the Kelley School of Business.
Dr. Simon is a graduate of Hamilton College in Clinton, New York. She holds a Ph.D. in economics from the University of Maryland.
Tracy Becker has been named an assistant professor of structural engineering, mechanics, and materials in the civil and environmental engineering department at the University of California, Berkeley. She was an assistant professor at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario.
Dr. Becker is a graduate of the University of California, San Diego where she majored in structural engineering. She holds a Ph.D. in structural engineering from the University of California, Berkeley.
Janice Evans has been named department head for biological sciences at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana. She was a biologist and professor in the Bloomberg School of Public Health at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore.
Dr. Evans is a cum laude graduate of Davidson College in North Carolina, where she majored in biology. She holds a Ph.D. in biology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Nefertiti Walker has been named the inaugural associate dean for an inclusive organization in the Isenberg School of Management at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. She is an associate professor of sport management and had been serving as the school’s director of diversity and inclusion.
Dr. Walker holds a bachelor’s degree in sport management and an MBA both from Stetson University in DeLand, Florida, as well as a Ph.D. in sport management from the University of Florida.
Jennifer Dickson has been named associate provost for academic affairs at the University of Vermont. She is the director of the Center for Teaching and Learning and an associate professor of anthropology at the university.
Dr. Dickson is a graduate of Bryn Mawr College in Pennsylvania where she double-majored in anthropology and Russian. She holds a master’s degree in anthropology, a master’s degree in Russian and East European studies, and a Ph.D. in anthropology with a specialization in linguistic anthropology all from the University of Michigan.
Christy Bratcher has been named associate dean of research in the College of Agricultural Sciences & Natural Resources at Texas Tech University. She most recently served as a professor in the department of animal sciences and director of the Food Systems Institute at Auburn University.
Dr. Bratcher holds a bachelor’s degree and master’s degree from the University of Florida and a doctorate from the University of Missouri.
Lori J. Duke has been named president-elect of the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education. She is assistant dean for experience programs and interim lead for curricular affairs in the College of Pharmacy at the University of Georgia.
Dr. Duke holds a doctor of pharmacy degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Elizabeth A. Dolan has been named the inaugural deputy provost for graduate education at Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. She is an associate professor of English and the founding director of the Health, Medicine, and Society program at Lehigh.
Dr. Dolan is a graduate of Davidson College where she majored in English. She holds a master’s degree and Ph.D. in English from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
