Ann Huff Stevens has been named dean of the College of Liberal Arts at the University of Texas. She currently serves as a professor economics at the University of California, Davis.
Dr. Stevens holds a bachelor’s degree from American University in Washington, D.C., and a Ph.D. in economics from the University of Michigan.
Allyson Watson has been named dean of the College of Education at Florida A&M University. She currently serves as dean of the College of Education at the University of South Florida St. Petersburg.
Dr. Watson holds a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Bethune-Cookman University in Daytona Beach, Florida, and a doctorate in educational administration, curriculum, and supervision from the University of Oklahoma.
Barbara Hempstead has been named dean of the Weill Cornell Graduate School of Medical Sciences. She has been a Weill Cornell Medicine faculty member since 1987, most recently serving as senior associate dean for education.
Dr. Hempstead holds a bachelor’s degree in biology from Tufts University, and a medical doctorate and a Ph.D. in cellular biology both from the Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis.

Creighton holds a bachelor’s degree from Central Washington University and a master of education in college student services administration from Oregon State University. She is currently pursuing a doctorate from West Chester University of Pennsylvania.
