Kelli Chaney Named President of the Tennessee College of Applied Technology at Knoxville

Kelli Chaney has been named president of the Tennessee College of Applied Technology at Knoxville. She will begin her new role on January 2, 2019. The institution enrolls about 1,100 students. Women make up 45 percent of the student body.

Most recently, Chaney was the dean of career education and workforce development at Big Sandy Community and Technical College in Preston, Kentucky, where she was also a member of the President’s Leadership Cabinet. Additionally, she was the director of the community college’s Pikeville campus.

Chaney holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and a master’s degree in community college leadership from Morehead State University in Kentucky. She is currently a doctoral candidate in educational leadership and policy at Eastern Kentucky University. She is expected to receive her degree at the end of this semester.
