Amy Borovy was appointed full professor of East Asian studies. She joined the faculty at Princeton in 1999 as a lecturer. She is the author of The Too-Good Wife: Alcohol, Codependency, and the Politics of Nurturance in Postwar Japan (University of California Press, 2005). Dr. Borovy is a magna cum laude graduate of Harvard University, where she majored in psychology. She holds a master’s degree and a Ph.D. in anthropology from Stanford University.
Yael Niv was promoted to professor of psychology and a professor at the Princeton Neuroscience Institute. She joined the Princeton faculty in 2008. She holds a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in psychology from Tel Aviv University in Israel. She earned a Ph.D. in neuroscience from Hebrew University in Jerusalem.
Sarah Rivett was named a full professor of English and American studies. She is an interdisciplinary scholar, specializing in early American and transatlantic literature, religion, and indigenous history. Professor Rivett is the author of The Science of the Soul in Colonial New England (University of North Carolina Press, 2011) Unscripted America: Indigenous Languages and the Origins of Literary Nation (Oxford University Press, 2017).
