Two Women Appointed to Lead Branch Campuses of Major State Universities

Robin Lightner will serve as dean of Blue Ash College, a regional campus of the University of Cincinnati. She has been serving as interim dean since last year. The college enrolls nearly 5,000 students. Women are 58 percent of the student body.
Dr. Lightner joined the faculty at Blue Ash College in 2001 and was serving as associate dean of academic affairs at the college before becoming interim dean in 2017. She is a graduate of Northern Kentucky University and holds a master’s degree and a Ph.D. in psychology from the University of Kentucky.
Alysia Starkey was promoted to interim dean and CEO of the Polytechnic Campus of Kansas State University in Salina. Dr. Starkey joined the faculty at the Polytechnic Campus in 2002. She has been serving as a full professor and as associate dean for academics at the Polytechnic Campus.
Dr. Starkey earned an associate’s degree in social work from Colby Community College in Kansas. She holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Fort Hays State University in Kansas, a master’s degree in library science from the University of North Texas, and a doctorate in curriculum and instruction from Kansas State University.
