Johnson holds a bachelor’s degree and a master of public administration degree from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond. She earned a juris doctorate at the College of William and Mary.
Lisa Stock is the new vice president for academic affairs at the College of DuPage in Glen Ellyn, Illinois. She was dean of academic affairs at Ellsworth Community College in Iowa.
Dr. Stock holds a bachelor’s degree in child development and a doctorate in higher educational leadership and policy studies from Iowa State University. She also earned a master of library and information science degree from the University of Iowa.
Julie Schreier was named chief of staff in the Office of the President at Yeshiva University in New York. For the past seven years, she has worked in the university’s department of institutional advancement.
Schreier is a graduate of Yeshiva University and holds an MBA from Baruch College of the City University of New York.
Traevena Byrd was appointed vice president and general counsel at American University in Washington, D.C., effective April 9. She has been serving as vice president for legal affairs and human resources and general counsel at Towson University in Maryland.

She is the former assistant dean at Loyola University Chicago and the former director of academic and career counseling at the medical school at Northwestern University.
Dr. LaBlance holds a master’s degree and a doctorate in higher education administration from Loyola University Chicago.
Elizabeth C. Garvey was appointed vice chancellor for legal affairs and general counsel for the State University of New York System. She has been serving as lead counsel for the majority party in the New York State Senate.
Garvey is a graduate of what is now Mary Baldwin University in Staunton, Virginia, where she majored in communication. She earned a juris doctorate from the Albany Law School of Union University.
Jennifer Hunt, who has been serving as interim dean of the University of Florida College of Medicine, has been appointed dean of the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire. She will be the first woman to lead the Ivy League medical school in its 229-year history
Dr. Gregory was appointed interim president of Jackson State University in May 2025. Prior to that appointment, she was the university's provost and vice president of academic affairs.
Dr. Jones currently serves as vice president of education and chief academic officer at the College of Lake County. She is slated to become the community college's interim president on May 1.
