A New Interactive Tool Provides Information on Sexual Assault on College Campuses

End Rape on Campus is a survivor advocacy organization based in Washington, D.C., dedicated to ending sexual violence through survivor support, public education, and policy reform at the campus, local, state, and federal levels. The organization recently debuted its Campus Accountability Map, an interactive tool and resources that provides information on the campus sexual assault at the two largest four-year undergraduate colleges and universities in each state and the District of Columbia. Also included is information on 15 historically Black colleges and universities.

More colleges and universities will be added in the near future. In addition, the public can add data to this interactive map through a crowd-souring tool.

The interactive map allows users to get statistics on sexual assault at the 117 institutions that are featured. It also lists a university’s policies on sexual assault education, prevention measures, investigation procedures, and survivor resources.

“Such information should be instrumental in the college decision process,” said Jess Davidson, the managing director of End Rape on Campus. “The Campus Accountability Map will add a powerful tool to the arsenal of prospective students and their families.” Davidson is a graduate of the University of Denver, where she majored in political science and was vice president of the student body.
