The First Woman President of Columbia Basin College in Pasco, Washington

The board of trustees of Columbia Basin College in Pasco, Washington, has selected Rebekah Woods as the institution’s sixth president. When she assumes her new position in November, Dr. Woods will be the first woman to serve as president of the college.
The community college enrolls nearly 6,500 students. Women make up 52 percent of the student body.
Dr. Woods has been serving as provost at Jackson College in Jackson, Michigan. She has been at the college for the past eight years. Previously, Dr. Woods was director of student success at Lansing Community College in Michigan. Earlier this year, she was a finalist for president at Western Technical College in La Crosse, Wisconsin, and Lake Michigan College in Benton Harbor.
Dr. Woods is a graduate of Albion College in Michigan, where she majored in psychology. She holds a juris doctorate and a Ph.D. in organizational leadership from Regent University.
