The Office for Civil Rights of the U.S. Department of Education investigated the college’s response to 16 incidents that occurred over a three-year period. The government found that the “college was not prompt in completing its investigation and providing determination to the complainant.” Other violations of Title IX were also found.
The college agreed to take several actions to remedy the violations. These include conducting a bi-annual climate survey of the student body to determine if they are aware of the college’s Title policies and procedures, training staff members on sexual harassment and assault policies and procedures, increasing training for the college’s Title IX officer, and offering information sessions to students on sexual harassment, discrimination, and violence policies and procedures.
