Two Women Appointed to Dean Positions

elanazolfoElana Zolfo was appointed dean of the Larry I. Luing School of Business at Berkeley College. The college operates eight campus in the New York City metropolitan area. Dr. Zolfo was vice president for workforce development for the Aerospace and Defense Diversification Alliance in Peacetime Transition. Earlier, she taught at Dowling College in Oakdale, New York.

Dr. Zolfo is a graduate of Hofstra University in Hempstead, New York. She earned an MBA at Adelphi University in Garden City, New York, and a doctorate in educational leadership and technology from Dowling College.

soncia-gregory_gym_copySoncia Reagins-Lilly was named vice president for student affairs and dean of students at the University of Texas at Austin. She has served as interim vice president for student affairs since June and has been dean of students for 10 years. Before joining the staff at the University of Texas in 2006, Dr. Reagins-Lilly was assistant vice chancellor for student affairs at the University of California, Los Angeles.

Dr. Reagins-Lilly is a graduate of the University of California, Irvine, where she majored in economics. She holds a master’s degree in education from California State University, San Bernardino and a doctorate in educational administration from the University of Southern California in Los Angeles.
