In Memoriam: Paula Carin Blank, 1959-2016

Paula-BlankPaula Blank, the Margaret L. Hamilton Professor of English at the College of William and Mary, died on August 21 at her home in Williamsburg, Virginia. She was 57 years old.

Professor Blank joined the faculty at the College of William and Mary in 1992. She specialized in Shakespeare, Renaissance poetry and poetics, linguistics and literature, Renaissance gender and sexuality. She was the author of the books Shakespeare and the Mismeasure of Renaissance Man (Cornell University Press, 2006) and Broken English: Dialects and the Politics of Language in Renaissance Writings (Routledge, 2014).
