Meredith College, the liberal arts college for women in Raleigh, North Carolina, has announced that it will offer two new tracks for its graduate programs in education. According to the latest U.S. Department of Education data, there are 241 graduate students at the college.
The college is now offering a health and physical education concentration in its master of arts in teaching program. Current concentrations include special education, elementary education, and English as a second language. Also Meredith will offer a curriculum instruction specialist add-on license in its master of education program.
Mary Kay Delaney, chair of the department of education at Meredith College, stated that “we are committed to preparing highly qualified teachers to serve in North Carolina’s public schools. These new programs will create even more opportunities for our teachers to impact students’ lives, whether in the classroom or at the administrative level.”
