The Next Provost at Wheaton College in Illinois

Margaret-DiddamsWheaton College in Illinois has announced that Margaret DuPlissis Diddams will be the next provost of the educational institution. The Christian college, located just west of Chicago, enrolls about 2,400 undergraduates and nearly 500 graduate students. Women are 52 percent of the undergraduate student body.

Dr. Diddams currently serves as assistant provost at Seattle Pacific University in Washington State. She has been on the faculty there since 1993. Earlier, she was an instructor of social and organizational psychology at Columbia University in New York City.

Dr. Diddams is a graduate of Wheaton College, where she majored in psychology. She holds a master’s degree in industrial and organization psychology and a Ph.D. in industrial and organizational psychology from New York University.

In a statement, Dr. Diddams said that “I am ready to come home to Wheaton to serve and give back to an institution that has always been precious to me.”
