Six Women in New Administrative Roles at Colleges and Universities

Campus_042111Kathy Langan Pusecker was appointed interim director of the Center for Teaching and Assessment of Learning at the University of Delaware. She has been serving as director of the Office of Educational Assessment at the university since 2010 and has been on the staff at the University of Delaware since 2005.

Pusecker is a graduate of St. Thomas Aquinas College in Santa Paula, California, where she majored in psychology and special education. She holds a master’s degree in business management from St. Mary’s College.

shereeMarloweSheree M. Marlowe is the new campus diversity officer for staff and students at the University of California, Santa Cruz. She was a practicing attorney specializing in civil rights litigation, employment law, and criminal defense.

Marlowe is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley, where she majored in English. She earned her law degree at Golden Gate University School of Law in San Francisco.

BRUSSOBarbara R. Russo was named emergency management coordinator at the University of Mississippi. She was an assistant professor of fire and emergency services administration at Fayetteville State University in North Carolina.

Dr. Russo is a graduate of Averett University in Danville, Virginia, where she majored in criminal justice and sociology. She holds a master’s degree and a Ph.D. in fire and emergency management administration from Oklahoma State University.

nyree-grayNyree Gray was appointed assistant vice president for diversity and inclusion at Claremont McKenna College in Claremont, California. She is the college’s chief civil rights officer and Title IX coordinator. Before joining the staff at the college in 2014, Gray was dean of diversity affairs and associate professor at the Southwestern Law School in Los Angeles.

Gray is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley, where she majored in social welfare. She earned her law degree at Southwestern Law School.

DaPonte-AdrianneAdrianne Nagy DaPonte is the new special assistant to the president for communications and research at Princeton University in New Jersey. She was serving as a senior writing specialist for the Division of Advancement at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island.

DaPonte is a graduate of Princeton University and holds master’s degrees from Harvard Divinity School and Boston College.

Ronné Patrick Turner was named vice provost for admissions at Washington University in St. Louis, effective, July 1. Currently, she is associate vice president of enrollment and dean of admission at Northeastern University in Boston. Before joining the staff at Northeastern in 2001, Turner was an admissions officer at the University of Maryland, College Park.

Turner is a graduate of Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore. She holds a master’s degree in the social foundations of education from the University of Maryland.

Most recently, Dr. Sanders served as vice president of experiential product management and interim vice president of product and technology at Western Governors University.
