St. Catherine University, with campuses in Minneapolis and St. Paul, Minnesota, was founded in 1905 by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet. The educational institution achieved university status in 2009. It offers undergraduate education to about 3,500 women and co-educational graduate programs to 1,500 students.
The university recently celebrated its first cohort of students who have completed its new MBA program. The program offers concentrations in management, healthcare, and integrated marketing and communications. The 18 MBA graduates, 17 of whom are women, are early and mid-career professionals for Fairview Health Services, U.S. Bank, Xeel Energy, and Second Harvest Heartland.
The MBA program at St. Catherine University is under the direction of Michelle Wieser. Before joining the faculty at St. Catherine University, she was the director of the Graduate Business Career Center at the University of Minnesota.
