Laurie Roades Is a New Dean at California State University, Fullerton

Laurie A. Roades was appointed dean of the College of Health and Human Development at California State University, Fullerton. The university, located east of Los Angeles, enrolls more than 38,000 students. Women make up 55 percent of the undergraduate student body.
Before being named dean, Dr. Roades was associate dean for academic personnel and resources in the College of Letters, Arts, and Social Sciences at California State Polytechnic University in Pomona. She also served as professor and chair of the department of psychology and sociology at Cal Poly Pomona.
Dr. Roades holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology, a master’s degree in clinical psychology, and a Ph.D. in clinical psychology, all from the University of Missouri-St. Louis. She conducted postdoctoral research at the Veterans Affairs Long Beach Medical Center in California.
