After retiring in 2022, Dr. Levine is returning to Cal Poly Pomona to serve as interim president. She previously taught in the university's department of music for over three decades.

The new deans are Lisa R. Braverman at the City University of New York, Stephanie B. Caulder at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, Jenelle Pitt-Parker at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, Michelle Kazmer at Florida State University, Barbara Jones at Boston University, Lisa A. Crooms-Robinson at Howard University in Washington, D.C., and Elsbeth Kalenderian at Marquette University in Milwaukee.
The women named deans are Ah-Hyung Park at UCLA, Hopi Hoekstra at Harvard University, Jill Dixon at West Chester University in Pennsylvania, Twinette Johnson at the University of the District of Columbia, Mary Margaret Frank at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Heather Woofter at the University of Texas at Austin, Sharonda Ragland at Virginia Union University, and Camille Su-Lin Johnson at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona.
Dr. Alva has been serving as the executive vice chancellor of academic and student affairs for the California State University System. Earlier,. she was provost and vice president for academic affairs at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona and dean of the College of Health and Human Development at California State University, Northridge.
Soraya M. Coley, president of California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, has been selected to receive the 2023 Donna Shavlik Award from the American Council on Education. The award honors an individual who demonstrates a sustained commitment to advancing women in higher education through leadership and career development.
The new deans are Mary Anne Alabanza Akers at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, Jessica Wilkie at Mohawk Valley Community College in Utica, New York, Jeanie C. Lucy at Alverno College in Milwaukee, Kendra Hall-Kenyon at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, Racquel Ingram at High Point University in North Carolina, and Iliana B. Melendez at Coastal Carolina University in Conway, South Carolina.
Cynthia Pickett has been appointed the presidential associate for inclusion and chief diversity officer at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. Tracie Ransom is the assistant dean for equity, diversity, and inclusion at Tulane Law School in New Orleans and Gina Dent is the associate dean of diversity, equity, and inclusion for the Humanities Division at the University of California, Santa Cruz.
Dr. Brown is currently the vice provost and dean for undergraduate education at the University of California, Riverside. Prior to joining the University of California, Riverside in 2018, Dr. Brown served as vice provost and dean of the Graduate School at Oregon State University. She began her faculty career at Purdue University in 2004. She will begin her new duties on April 1.
