Tameka E. Lester was named an assistant clinical professor at Georgia State University College of Law in Atlanta. She will also serve as director of the Philip C. Cool Low-Income Taxpayer Clinic at the university. Lester was the director of the Low-Income Taxpayer Clinic at North Carolina Central University in Durham.
Lester is a graduate of Winthrop University in Rock Hill, South Carolina. She earned an MBA from the University of Phoenix and a law degree at North Carolina Central University.
Paula Grammas was named the M. Ryan Professor of Neuroscience at the University of Rhode Island. She will also serve as the inaugural director of the George and Ann Ryan Institute for Neuroscience at the university. Dr. Grammas has been serving as the executive director of the Garrison Institute on Aging at the Texas Tech University Health Science Center.
Dr. Grammas has been conducting research on Alzheimer’s disease for 30 years. She holds a Ph.D. in pathology from Wayne State University in Detroit.
Althema Etzioni is a new associate professor of clinical pathology at the School of Veterinary Medicine at Tuskegee University in Alabama. She is a licensed veterinarian in both Georgia and Alabama.
Dr. Etzioni is a graduate of Xavier University in New Orleans. She earned a doctorate in veterinary medicine at Tuskegee University and a master’s degree in veterinary clinical pathology at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana.

Dr. Shogren is a summa cum laude graduate of Ohio State University and holds a master’s degree in psychology from the University of Dayton and a Ph.D. from the University of Kansas.

Dr. McLendon is a graduate of Duke University in Durham, North Carolina, and holds a doctorate in pharmacy from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Dr. Greenberg is a graduate of Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois. She earned her medical degree at the University of Nevada at Reno.

Dr. Koger is a graduate of the University of Evansville in Indiana. She holds a master’s degree and a Ph.D. in theatre history and criticism from the University of Michigan.
