One Woman Among Four Candidates for Dean of the University of Kansas Libraries

university-of-kansas-logoA field of four candidates has been announced for the post of Dean of the University of Kansas Libraries. The four candidates have all visited campus recently for a series of interviews and public presentations. One of the four candidates is a woman.

ChristineAveryChristine Avery is the senior director of Commonwealth Campus Libraries and Strategic Projects at Pennsylvania State University. She was promoted to this post earlier this year after serving since 2011 as director of Commonwealth Campus Libraries. Avery is a graduate of Texas A&M University, where she majored in sociology. She holds a master’s degree in applied social research from Texas Christian University in Fort Worth and a master of library and information science degree from the University of Texas at Austin.
