Three Women Academics Announce They Are Leaving Their Posts

wink_low_ecDiane M. Wink, who held the Hugh F. and Jeannette G. McKean Endowed Chair in Nursing at the University of Central Florida, has retired. She has been designated professor emerita. Dr. Wink first joined the faculty at the university in 1988.

Dr. Wink is a graduate of Adelphi University in Garden City, New York. She holds master’s degrees from Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida, and Villanova University in Pennsylvania. Dr. Wink earned an educational doctorate at the University of Central Florida.

hazenVirginia Hazen, a Dartmouth College employee since 1968 is retiring after 47 years at the college. She began as a typist and most recently served as director of financial aid.

Hazen is a graduate of Colby-Sawyer College in New London, New Hampshire, and earned an MBA at Plymouth State College in New Hampshire.

Cheryl_HarrelsonCheryl Harrelson has stepped down as vice president for advancement at New Mexico State University in Las Cruces. She also served as president of the New Mexico State University Foundation. Harrelson is leaving these posts due to an illness of a family member but will remain employed by the university in a less demanding capacity. She joined the staff at New Mexico State in 2014. Previously, she was the associate vice president for annual and special gifts, stewardship and special events at Washington State University.

Harrelson received a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and applied science from the University of California, Los Angeles. She holds a master’s degree in higher education from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and a master’s degree in computer information systems from the University of Phoenix.
