New Women Deans at Four American Universities

Holsinger-FuchsPamela Holsinger-Fuchs is the new dean of enrollment at Saint Martin’s University in Lacey, Washington. She was the executive director of enrollment services at the University of Wisconsin-Stout. Previously, she was dean of students at Trinity Lutheran College in Everett, Washington.

Dr. Holsinger-Fuchs holds a master’s degree from Michigan State University and a doctorate in educational leadership from the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks.

dinanSusan Dinan is the founding dean of the Pforzheimer Honors College at Pace University in Pleasantville, New York. Since 2005, she has been director of the Honors College at William Paterson University in Wayne, New Jersey.

Dr. Dinan is a graduate of Cornell University in Ithaca, New York. She holds a Ph.D. in history from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

ElizabethHudsonElizabeth Hudson is the new dean of the College of Arts, Media, and Design at Northeastern University in Boston. She is the former director of the New Zealand School of Music at Victoria University of Wellington.

Dr. Hudson is a graduate of Smith College in Northampton, Massachusetts. She holds master’s and doctorate degrees in musicology from Cornell University.

The-OlionsMarion Gillis-Olion was named dean of the School of Education at Fayetteville State University in North Carolina. Dr. Gillis-Olion has been on the faculty at the university since 1983. Most recently, she has served as associate vice chancellor for academic affairs.

Dr. Gillis-Olion is a graduate of Kean University in Union, New Jersey, where she majored in elementary education. She holds a master’s degree and a doctorate in early and middle childhood education from Ohio State University.
