Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut, Adds Four Women to Its Faculty

TrinityLogoTrinity College, the highly rated liberal arts educational institution in Hartford, Connecticut, has announced the hiring of four women as assistant professors. The women all recently earned their Ph.D.s.

ChristinaHeathertonChristina Heatherton was named assistant professor of American studies. She is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley, where she majored in interdisciplinary studies. Dr. Heatherton earned a master’s degree and a Ph.D. in American studies and ethnicity from the University of Southern California.

Molly Helt is a new assistant professor of psychology and neuroscience. She is a graduate of Smith College in Northampton, Massachusetts, and earned a master’s degree and Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the University of Connecticut. Her dissertation compared emotion contagion and facial feedback with typically developing children and those with autism spectrum disorders.

rosario-hubertRosario Hubert was appointed assistant professor of language and culture studies at Trinity College. She recently was awarded a Ph.D. in Romance languages from Harvard University. She completed her bachelor’s degree studies at the Universidad de San Andreas in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Nichole E. Szembrot is a new assistant professor of economics. She is a summa cum laude graduate of Boston University, where she also earned her master’s degree in economics. Dr. Szembrot earned her Ph.D. in economics from Cornell University in Ithaca, New York, where her dissertation was entitled “Essays at the Intersection of Behavioral Economics and Public Policy.”
