Amanda Morris Foreman has been selected to serve as interim president of Coastal Pines Technical College in Georgia.
Foreman has been Coastal Pines Technical College’s executive vice president for the past five years, serving as an advisor to the president on institutional operations, strategic initiatives, and organizational effectiveness. Since 2016, Foreman has also served as vice president for academic affairs, overseeing all academic programs and instructional services. Earlier in her tenure, she was dean for academic affairs, secondary initiatives, and general education. Prior to the formation of Coastal Pines Technical College in 2014, Foreman spent 15 years in various instructional and leadership roles at Okenfenokee Technical College.
“I am incredibly honored to have the opportunity to serve Coastal Pines Technical College in this role,” said Foreman. “This college and the communities we serve have been an important part of my life and career for more than two decades. I have seen firsthand the difference technical education can make for our students, their families, and the businesses and industries that depend on a skilled workforce. I look forward to working alongside our outstanding faculty and staff to build on the strong foundation [former President Lonnie Roberts] has established and continue creating opportunities for our students and the communities we are proud to serve.”
A graduate of Waycross College in Georgia, Foreman holds a bachelor’s degree in business from Jacksonville University in Florida, a master’s degree in educational media design and technology from Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida, and a master’s degree in vocational and technical education from Valdosta State University in Georgia.
