
Presented annually, the Gold Medal recognizes individuals who have provided exceptional service to the science of radiology. It is the organization’s highest honor.
Dr. Mahoney has dedicated her career to advancing breast imaging and patient-centered care. At the University of Cincinnati, she played a key role in establishing the Advancing Imaging Core Lab and the multidisciplinary breast center within the UC Cancer Center. In addition to her faculty appointment, Dr. Mahoney has served as chief of imaging services for UC Health since 2016.
“Receiving the RSNA Gold Medal is an incredible honor that I accept with deep gratitude,” said Dr. Mahoney. “It reflects not just my own journey, but the support, collaboration, and shared commitment of so many who have shaped my career in radiology.”
Dr. Mahoney received her bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island, and her medical degree from the University of Cincinnati.
